Kindergarten to Year 6

Pacific Gulgangali Jarjums is a safe, nurturing, and supportive NESA Registered school catering for Kindergarten to Year 6 with students graduating to the adjacent Pacific Coast Christian Schools for Years 7-12. We are committed to bridging the gap by focusing holistically, providing Jarjums with academic, spiritual, emotional, cultural, and physical growth whilst nurturing individual God-given gifts. Our learning is designed for Jarjums to have a powerful sense of their identity in culture and in Christ.

Embracing Indigenous Culture in Curriculum

Our curriculum is richly infused with Indigenous cultural teachings, stories, and practices, ensuring that our students remain connected to their heritage while excelling academically. We prioritize passing on First Nations knowledge from our First Nations staff and local elders, recognizing their invaluable contributions to our educational community. Through language classes, cultural ceremonies, and community partnerships, we celebrate the wisdom and resilience of First Nations peoples. This integration fosters a profound sense of pride and belonging in our students, empowering them to embrace their identities and histories with confidence.

Honouring First Nations Wisdom and Resilience

At the core of our educational approach is a deep reverence for First Nations wisdom and resilience. We recognize the profound contributions of Indigenous cultures to our collective understanding of the world. By incorporating Indigenous perspectives into our curriculum and learning experiences, we honour the rich tapestry of knowledge passed down through generations. Our commitment to working closely with First Nations staff and local elders ensures that this wisdom remains central to our educational mission. Through collaborative efforts, we seek to amplify Indigenous voices, celebrate cultural heritage, and cultivate an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Personalised Attention

Seamless Transition

Preparing your child for life beyond school

Your child’s journey of flourishing continues seamlessly from Junior to Senior Education in our caring community.

Classroom Structure

Our classes are composite which cater for Kindergarten – Year 2, Year 3-4, and Year 5-6. Our small class sizes enable personalised attention for your child to ensure each student receives the support they require from our dedicated teachers and support staff. Classes incorporate a three-tier approach to teaching and learning. Tier 1 – whole class, Tier 2 – small group, and Tier 3 – small group and/or one-on-one activities.

A Smooth Transition

Committed to a seamless transition into mainstream schooling, our goal is for Year 6 graduates to smoothly advance to Year 7 at Pacific Coast Christian School, fully prepared for the academic and community aspects of Middle School. We facilitate this transition with dedicated staff, including a transition officer from Gulgangali, our Indigenous Liaison, and through close collaboration with Pacific Coast's leadership, Middle School staff, and the Aboriginal Education Adviser.

But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.”
